Step 1: Sampling
Insert the Swab into the inside of the vagina , and rotate for 20sec. Pull the swab out carefully.
*Put the swab into the extraction tube, if the test may be run immediately. If immediate testing is not possible, the patient samples should be placed in a dry transport tube for storage or transport. The swabs may be stored for 24 hours at room temperature (15-30℃) or 1 week at 4℃ or no more than 6 months at -20℃. All specimens should be allowed to reach a room temperature of 15-30℃ before testing.
Step 2: Testing
1. Remove the film of the buffer tube.
2. Remove the swab from its packaging for running the test. After taking the swab sample, insert the swab into the buffer tube and plunge the swab up and down in the fluid for a minimum of 15 seconds, then hold the swab against the bottom of the tube and rotate it 5 times, taking care not to splash the contents out of the tube.
3. Remove the swab while squeezing the sides of the tube to extract the liquid from the swab. Throw the swab into the biohazard waste bag. Press the nozzle cap firmly onto the buffer tube containing the processed sample. Mix thoroughly by swirling or flicking the bottom of the tube.
4. Tear off the foil bag, take out the test cassette and place it on a clean and flat surface. Gently squeeze the tube and dispense two or three drops of the processed specimen (about 100 uL) into the sample well. Start counting.
Step 3: Reading
15 mins later, read the results visually. (Note: do NOT read the results after 20 mins!)
1. Negative result
If only the quality control line C appears and the detection lines G and M do not show, it means that no Brucella antibody is detected.
2. Positive Result
2.1 If both the quality control line C and the detection line M appear, it means that the Brucella IgM antibody is detected, and the result is positive for the IgM antibody.
2.2 If both the quality control line C and the detection line G appear, it means that the Brucella IgG antibody is detected and the result is positive for the IgG antibody.
2.3 If both the quality control line C and the detection lines G and M appear, it means that the Brucella IgG and IgM antibodies are detected, and the result is positive for both IgG and IgM antibodies.
3.Invalid Result
If the quality control line C cannot be observed, results will be invalid regardless of whether a test line shows, and the test should be repeated.
