Intended Use
Fecal Occult Blood (FOB) Rapid Test Kit (Immunochromatographic Assay) is suitable for in vitro qualitative detection of human haemoglobin (Hb) present in human faecal samples.
Test Principle
Fecal Occult Blood (FOB) Rapid Test Kit (Immunochromatographic Assay) is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. It has two pre-coated lines, “T” Test line and “C” Control line on the nitrocellulose membrane. The Test line is coated with an anti-human haemoglobin clone antibody and the quality Control line is coated with a Goat anti-mouse IgG antibody, and a colloidal gold particle labelled with an anti-human haemoglobin monoclonal antibody is fixed at one end of the test card. When it reaches the Test line, it encounters the encapsulated antibody to form an antibody- antigen-gold standard antibody complex and a red band appears in the test area, resulting in a positive result. If no human haemoglobin is present in the sample, there will be no red band in the detection zone and the result will be negative. The presence of a quality Control line, which should appear as a red band on all samples, indicates that the test card is working properly.

Please read the instructions carefully before testing. Before testing, allow the test cassettes, sample solution and samples to be balanced to room temperature (15-30℃ or 59-86 degrees Fahrenheit).
1.Remove a test cassette from the foil pouch and place on a flat surface.
2.Unscrew the sample bottle, use the attached applicator stick attached on the cap to transfer small piece of stool sample (3- 5 mm in diameter; approximately 30-50 mg) into the sample bottle containing specimen preparation buffer.
3. Replace the stick into the bottle and tighten securely. Mix stool sample with the buffer thoroughly by shaking the bottle for several times and leave the tube alone for 2 minutes.
4. Uncrew the sample bottle tip and hold the bottle in a vertical position over the sample well of the Cassette, deliver 3 drops (100 -120μL) of diluted stool sample to the sample well. Start counting.
5. Read the results in 15-20 minutes. The result explanation time is not more than 20 minutes.
Negative result
Colored band appear at control line (C) only. It indicates that there are no human haemoglobin (Hb) present in the sample or the number of human haemoglobin (Hb) is below the detectable range.
Positive Result
Colored bands appear at both test line (T) and control line (C). It indicates a positive result for the detection of human haemoglobin (Hb) present in faecal samples
Invalid Result
No visible colored band appears at control line after performing the test. Insufficient sample volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line failure. Review the test procedure and repeat the test using a new test device.
